LAN Ecuador Airline

LAN Ecuador Airline to Cuenca
Connecting Your International LAN Flight

LAN Airline flies nonstop from New York City to Guayaquil. You can then make a connecting flight to Cuenca's Mariscal Lamar Airport.

Or, if you're already in Quito from a previous LAN flight from Miami, you too can fly to Cuenca on LAN Ecuador.

LAN and American Airlines recently cemented a code-sharing agreement, which means that you can buy a ticket from American that will get you to Cuenca, or buy one from LAN that will get you from Cuenca to anywhere in North America that American flies.

Guayaquil

Flights from Guayaquil leave daily at 9:35 a.m., arriving at 10:15.

Flights from Cuenca leave daily at 11:25 a.m., landing at 12:05 p.m.

Quito

Flights from Quito leave daily at 4:00 p.m., arriving at 4:55.

From Cuenca, flights leave daily at 5:30 p.m., landing at 6:25.

Ticket Prices and Payment Options

Tickets are a lot more expensive on LAN Ecuador than on the domestic Ecuador airlines. A one-way ticket from Guayaquil can be almost as much as a round-trip ticket with AeroGal or Tame.

Buying a LAN ticket directly from New York to Cuenca is also a lot more than buying New York to Guayaquil and then flying on one of the domestic airlines.

When booking online, credit cards are the only payment option. At a LAN office, cash or credit cards. At a LAN desk at an airport, cash or credit cards are accepted.

Contact Information

LAN's website is www.lan.com. Or call 1-866-IFLYLAN from the US and Canada. Inside Ecuador, call toll-free to 1800-101075 or 1800-010281.

I just want to thank you both soooo much for creating this web site. I am originally from Cuenca but moved to New York 11 years ago and have not being back since. My husband and I are planning on visiting Cuenca over the Summer and this web site has helped me a lot.

When I came to the US we still had the "sucre," the bus ride cost 1,000 sucres and a pack of trident gum would cost 3,000 sucres. I am very nervous to go back, but thanks to your web site I now know what to expect.

My husband is American and Captivating Cuenca has taught him a lot about what my great city has to offer, things that I had forgotten about myself! :)

Thank You both so much! I cannot wait to visit Cuenca!!
