I am wondering if there is any good or recommendable hair salon for women in Cuenca.
I am from Korea but now I am living in VA, USA and for me it is quite expensive to do women things (especially hair stuff) in the states.
I would like to get my hair cut (just cut and trim a little bit) and do some perm, like a straight perm or anything.
Any recommendation for me, Lulie?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Vivian Park

While I'm not one for spending a lot of time in salons, I do have my hair trimmed occasionally. Just about any expat in the city will give you different opinions about the best hair salon.
The only ones I am familiar with (and there are hundreds in Cuenca) are the one at the Oro Verde on Ordoñez Lasso, the Very Sexy salon across the street from it, and one just down the road (closer to downtown) on Ordoñez Lasso.
Maybe some of our other readers will chime in with their experiences.

I just want to thank you both soooo much for creating this web site. I am originally from Cuenca but moved to New York 11 years ago and have not being back since. My husband and I are planning on visiting Cuenca over the Summer and this web site has helped me a lot.
When I came to the US we still had the "sucre," the bus ride cost 1,000 sucres and a pack of trident gum would cost 3,000 sucres. I am very nervous to go back, but thanks to your web site I now know what to expect. My husband is American and Captivating Cuenca has taught him a lot about what my great city has to offer, things that I had forgotten about myself! :)
Thank You both so much! I cannot wait to visit Cuenca!!
